Touch n' Foam Review and Giveaway

It's that time of year where we turn off the AC and open the windows.  I love this time of year, but it won't be long until we will be closing those window and doors on the cold winter weather.  This is the perfect time to be concentrating on making the house weather tight.  It is an awful feeling to think about the cool air coming in all the tiny little crooks and crannies.
This is where Touch n' Foam comes in.  They have three great products to help make your home more efficient in the heating and cooling department.  These foam sealants come in very handy spray cans and provided straws to really get into the cracks and holes.
they carry the Max Fill for the big jobs this foam has maximum expanding power.  Then their is the mimimum expanding sealant for small jobs and No warp for windows and doors that won't bow or warp Frames or Jams.
Check out this neat video of the products in action:

I like how easy the products are to use they are really user friendly.  I was worried the foam would shoot out to fast or be hard to control but that was not the case.  It was easy to get it in just the right spot and with just the right amount of foam.

Wanna hear some good news?  Touch n' Foam is offering one Learning to be Thrifty viewer a chance to try out the same three products I mentioned earlier.

Couponing Tip

Have I told you about Southern Savers yet?
This is a great resource for planning your coupon trips!  She has the match ups for several stores.  The best part about her site is the fact that you can make a shopping list as you go.  When I first started couponing I would sit and write out all the deals I wanted to do and this took forever!  Now I just go through her match up and click the little check box by the deals I want to do when I get to the bottom I can create the list of deals I want to do.
this morning I went through and got ready to shop at Publix they have some good deals running this week.  I know I saved time using the match ups from Southern Savers!!

Safer - Organic Gardening supplies Review

This year my husband and I set up a garden.  We had fun getting everything planted.  In one box we had our tomatoes and peppers, yummy!!  Beside the house is where I planted my squash and cucumbers, in a third box we has a variety of other plants.  The gardens started growing great the plants looked happy and healthy getting big and strong.  Then I noticed it my squash took a drastic turn for the worse!! Little gray bugs all over it leaves half eaten whole stocks of it going down and shriveling away.  This was my introduction to the squash bug!  I love eating garden squash in the summer sadly this summer I did without.  The squash bug won.  Next year will be a different story, thanks to SaferBrand's Organic bug control products, my garden will stand a chance against these little creatures.

SaferBrand sent me three products to check out:

Bug Patrol 6.4 oz Concentrate – with Sprayer
This concentrate is one of our most versatile formulas and I included our most popular sprayer. This sprayer is a pump sprayer that allows for very easy application. The formula is a combination of insecticidal soap and pyrethrin which works to eliminate soft bodied and hard bodied insects. This product can eliminate up to 40 different insects so it can be almost your one stop solution to keep your garden insect free. Our Bug Patrol formula is OMRI Listed, USDA certified for use in organic gardening and the best part is that it can be used up until the day of harvest.

I think this maybe a product that will save my garden from these nasty little squash bugs!  I am excited to test it out next summer.  I like that this formula comes in a concentrate and a sprayer bottle, this way I can only mix up the amount I need and keep the rest of the spray in concentrate form for easier and better storage.  I like that the product came with a post card size chart that tell how much to dilute the solution based on the type of plant you are spraying.

Garden Dust
This stuff is awesome. I use it all the time. It comes in a ‘puffer’ bottle which is best used downwind so it doesn’t get into your face (even though it is OMRI listed so it wont hurt you if it did). This product can eliminate a lot of caterpillars, and crawling insects on your plants. it is powered by Bacillus Thuringiensis (BT) which is effective in eliminate various worms and caterpillars but without harming beneficial insects, children, wildlife and pets. It is one of my favorite products and as I mentioned earlier, it is OMRI Listed and can be used up until the day of harvest.

This product also excites me.  I feel like it will do a good job protecting my garden from those annoying creatures that got to it so bad this year!!  I like that this product comes ready to use open the bottle and dust the crops it cannot get any easier than that!

Safer® Brand Garden Fungicide utilizes the effectiveness of our popular sulfur-based fungicide. This organic fungicide is an effective, economical and convenient solution to the wide array of fungal blights that consumers face everyday.  OMRI Listed® and compliant for use in organic gardening. This organic fungicide is ideal for organic vegetable gardening and as an effective solution for rose care and tomato fungicide.

I am really glad to have this product.  It controls alot of the things we see so commonly in our plants - the rust, powdery Mildew and black spots.  I like that it can be used on such a wide variety of plants.  Like the garden dust I like that this spray bottle of fungicide is ready to go, just aim and spray.

I really like that SaferBrand products are Organic it gives me a peace of mind knowing I am choosing a safer product for my family and the environment.
